 ABD siyasal tarihinde, ülkenin geleneksel ‘emperyalist’ siyasetini yadsıyan tek Devlet Başkanı Roosevelt’tir.1929 yılında çıkan ve dünyanın dört tarafını etkileyen genel ekonomik bunalım sonrası işbaşına gelen Roosevelt, sorunu başarıyla atlatan yöntemler uygulamıştır. O süreçte ABD’den çok uzakta bir başka ülke, yine kendisine özgü önlem ve uygulamalarla krizin dışında kalabilmiştir. O ülke; halkçı-devletçi ekonomik toplumcu modele sahip Türkiye’dir. Türkiye’nin ekonomik büyüme hızı,1930’larda; % 9’dur.                                                       
       Roosevelt, ABD tarihinde 3 dönem Başkanlık sorumluluğu taşımış tek kişidir. Kapitalizme dayalı bir ülkede, ayağı felçli ama aklı toplumcu nosyonla pırıldayan lider; “New Deal”(Yeni Dalga) adı verilen bir sosyal ve ekonomik çizgiyle ülke halkına nefes aldırmıştır. Gerçi başta ABD Federal Yüksek Mahkemesi olmak üzere pek çok bağnaz kurum ve kişilerin, Roosevelt’e;“Solcu, komünist” damgası vurmalarına karşın, “Sosyal Devlet” politikaları, kararlılıkla yürütülmüştür. ABD tarihinde sömürgen yayılmacılığı devlet tutumu olmaktan kurtaran Roosevelt, belleklerde saygıyla korunmaktadır.Ama Roosevelt sonrası,Truman’la başlayan ve ; Johnson,Reagan,Bush gibi ardılların öngörüsüz ve çılgın kapitalist yöntemlerine tutsak olan ABD politikaları,dünya kamuoyunun tepkisini çekmiştir.
        “Yeni Dünya Düzeni” özellikle 1980’li yıllarda atak yapmıştır. Kızılderililerin katledildiklerini yansıtan filmlerle ün yapan artist Ronald Reagan ABD’nin, “Falkland adalarını” gasp eden “Demir Lady” unvanlı Margeret Teatcher Britanya’nın başındayken yaşama geçirilen “Yeni Dünya Düzeni”, dünyanın çivisini çıkarmıştır. Toplumcu değerleri tanımayan “Çok Uluslu Şirketlere” arka çıkarak, zümresel zenginleşmenin yolunu açan “monoterist” sistem yönetimleri ,insanlığa acılar çektirmiştir. Sistemi uygulamakta her çare düşünülmüş, göz kırpılmadan güya; “özgür dünya” adına dış müdahalelerle nemalanma yolları araştırılmıştır. Bush ve Blair ikilisi, eskilerini aratmayan uğraşlarla “Globalleşme” stratejisini arttırarak, Ortadoğu’yu kana boyamışlardır. Atatürk’ü unutan Türkiye;“24 Ocak” kararları çerçevesinde ve kopyalama yoluyla bu gidişe aynen katılmıştır.
         ABD kaynaklı “Mortgage” adı verilen ekonomik bunalım en acımasız liberal beyinlerde bile, devlet müdahalesi gerçeğini anımsatmıştır. Çünkü,“Çok Uluslu Şirketler” dünya ölçütünde yanmaya ve halkları yakmaya başlamışlardır.Devlet yönetimlerince,İktisatçı Keynes’in sosyal açılımlı ekonomik disiplinine zorunlu başvuru,cankurtaran olmuştur.
         ABD, Roosevelt’in uygulamalarına dönme peşindedir. “Sosyal Devlet” ekolü, genel planlamadır.Vahşi kapitalizm, iflastadır.Türkiye, gelişmelerden ders çıkararak,1930’lardaki başarılı “Kemalist” modele , günümüzün gelişmeleri ışığında ciddiyetle göz atmalıdır.
