Tarihi Kentler Birliği üçüncü dönem meclis toplantısı Beşiktaş Belediyesi’nin ev sahipliğinde 22-24 Mayıs tarihlerinde İstanbul’da gerçekleşti.
Tarihi Kentler Birliği üyesi Belediyelerin yoğun katılımıyla gerçekleşen toplantı; ev sahipliği yapan Beşiktaş Belediye Başkanı İsmail Ünal’ın açılış konuşmasıyla başladı. Danışma Kurulu Başkanı Metin Sözen ve Tarihi Kentler Birliği dönem başkanı, Kayseri Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Mehmet Özhaseki yeni seçilen belediye başkanlarına kültürel mirasın korunmasına ve yeni dönem çalışmalarına yönelik bilgilenme yaptılar.
Çankaya Belediyesi toplantıya Bülent Tanık’ın başkanlığında, Tarihi Kentler Birliği Meclis üyesi Ertuğrul Şenoğlu, Başkan Yardımcısı Ali Ulusoy ve Tarihi Kentler Birliği iletişim sorumlusu Tezcan Karakuş Candan’dan oluşan 4 kişilik heyetle katıldı.
Tanık, toplantı sonrası yaptığı açıklamada; “Cumhuriyetin temelinin atıldığı, kültürel mirasının da odağı olan Çankaya’da cumhuriyet dönemi yapılarının korunması ve yaşatılması, kültürel miras varlıklarının tescili yönünde çalışmalarımıza hız vereceğiz,” dedi.
Son kabullerle üye belediye sayısı 240’a ulaşan Tarihi Kentler Birliği
